Dubai: Saeed Khatibzadeh, spokesman for the foreign ministry, said the new sanctions are further proof that Washington is exerting pressure on the Iranian people at every opportunity.

Iran's ballistic missile program was supported by a procurement agent whose companies were sanctioned Wednesday by the United States.

"This move is another sign of the US government's malice towards the Iranian people, as it continues the failed policy of maximum pressure against Iran," he said.
