Thrissur: In Kerala’s Thrissur, a 74-year-old woman died on Monday after falling from a moving bus, an incident captured on CCTV and later shared online. Footage reportedly showed her boarding the bus and spotting a vacant seat.
As she walked towards it, the driver braked to slow the vehicle, causing her to lose balance. Since the bus door was open, she fell out despite attempts by the conductor and nearby passengers to grab her.
Witnesses said the driver stopped immediately, and the conductor rushed outside. The woman was taken to the hospital but did not survive, Free Press Journal reported.
A similar case occurred in July last year in Namakkal, Tamil Nadu, when a woman standing near the door of a crowded bus was thrown out during a sharp turn.
According to reports, the woman, identified as Saradha, had been returning from Salem after shopping for clothes. A video of that incident had also circulated on the social media platform X.
