Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala has launched a digital magazine showcasing notable writings by students who participated in this year’s Kerala State School Art Festival. The magazine, now accessible online, was released by General Education Minister V. Sivankutty, who shared the link on his official Facebook page on Saturday.

Titled “Mazha Mannil Ezhuthiyath”, the magazine aims to highlight excellent student works in the story and poetry categories that often go unnoticed during school art festivals. Sivankutty said the initiative was developed by the General Education Department with technical support from the Kerala Infrastructure and Technology for Education (KITE).

The digital magazine features a podcast system that allows readers to listen to stories and poems in the voices of their young authors. Videos of performances can also be accessed by scanning QR codes included with each write-up. The magazine includes illustrations and artwork created by children who won in various art competitions.

The reading and presentation of the magazine were filmed by the Kite-Victors channel, and it was designed using the free software Scribus. The pages are optimised for easy readability on both smartphones and computers, and the magazine contains a total of 56 write-ups.

Apart from students, KITE’s master trainers and wiki workers contributed to the magazine’s production. Sivankutty added that the digital magazine is available for download on the KITE website.
