Jeddah: A specialized medical team at King Salman Medical City in Madinah has succeeded in brain surgery to treat chronic depression, the Saudi Gazette reports. The patient was suffering from severe symptoms of depression and anxiety for over 25 years.

The medical team consisting of neurosurgeons and psychiatrists was formed to examine the case and carry out the surgical intervention.
