Gaza: Israel has attacked an aid convoy in the Gaza Strip. The United Nations agency for Palestinian refugees informed on Friday that the Israeli military opened fire on the convoy. However, no casualties were reported, Agence France-Presse reported.

United Nations Relief Work Agency (UNRWA) director in Gaza, Tom White, wrote on X, "Israeli soldiers fired at an aid convoy as it returned from northern Gaza along a route designated by the Israeli army -- our international convoy leader and his team were not injured but one vehicle sustained damage."

The agency said that the incident happened on Thursday afternoon.

Meanwhile, the Israeli military, when requested for comments, said that it was examining reports of the incident.

On Friday, UN humanitarian chief Martin Griffiths said on X that the situation is impossible for the people of Gaza as well as those trying to help them.

Griffiths said that aid convoys had been shot at without elaborating.

He said that even aid convoys were being attacked, adding that it was not easy to deliver aid into the region.

"You think getting aid into Gaza is easy? Think again," he wrote.
