Kuwait: Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) information ministers on Monday launched the pilot version of a unified mobile application integrating news services from GCC member states. The rollout took place during the 28th meeting of GCC information ministers, chaired by Kuwait’s Minister of Information and Minister of State for Youth Affairs, Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi.

The experimental app is designed to provide users with direct access to official news, livestreams of GCC television and radio channels, photo archives, video content and updates from the social media accounts of each member state’s news agency.

Built using advanced artificial intelligence, the platform aggregates content from across the GCC’s official media outlets. The ministers emphasized that the app is intended to enhance media accessibility, support digital transformation, and promote greater collaboration among the region’s news agencies.

Officials highlighted the app’s potential to deliver high-quality media content tailored to the Gulf audience while aligning with the region’s evolving digital media landscape.
