The Embassy of India in Kuwait, in collaboration with the Forum of Indian Doctors, organized a blood donation camp today at Adan Hospital to mark World Blood Donors Day. The event drew significant participation from the Indian expatriate community and other residents, reinforcing the long-standing tradition of humanitarian service by Indian nationals in Kuwait.

His Excellency Dr. Ahmad Abdulwahab Al Awadhi, Minister of Health of Kuwait, inaugurated the camp in the presence of Indian Ambassador Dr. Adarsh Swaika, along with senior Kuwaiti officials Dr. Reem Al Radwan and Dr. Hanan Al Awadhi. Senior members of the Forum of Indian Doctors also joined the ceremony.

The blood donation drive witnessed an enthusiastic turnout, with numerous Indian and expatriate donors contributing to the cause. The initiative highlighted the commitment of the Indian community to healthcare and social welfare in Kuwait.

According to the embassy, Indian organizations in Kuwait have been actively conducting blood donation drives for several years. In 2024 alone, over 50 such drives were held independently by various Indian community associations, in addition to those organized by the Embassy and the Forum of Indian Doctors.

Beyond healthcare efforts, the Indian Embassy and the Indian community in Kuwait have been spearheading several initiatives focused on environmental protection and sustainability. Recent campaigns include tree-plantation drives and beach cleaning efforts, further reflecting their dedication to the well-being of the local environment.
