Kuwait applauds US efforts to end Gaza war

Kuwait’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday praised United States efforts, led by President Donald Trump, to bring an end to the war in the Gaza Strip.
In an official statement, the ministry commended Washington’s role in working toward an agreement aimed at alleviating the suffering of the Palestinian people, safeguarding their rights and securing the full withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza. The statement also noted the importance of beginning reconstruction efforts, preventing the displacement of Palestinians and advancing the pursuit of a just and comprehensive peace.
The State of Kuwait,in the statement, expressed full confidence in President Trump’s ability to broker a peaceful and lasting resolution. The statement emphasized Kuwait’s support for urgent humanitarian aid delivery, the establishment of peace grounded in a two-state solution and the recognition of a Palestinian state within the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.
