Oman: Dhofar to build first mosque using 3D-print tech
text_fieldsAn agreement was signed today in Dhofar Governorate to implement a project for the construction of Al Khair Mosque using 3D printing technology.
The project, which will be part of the waterfront development plan in Al Dahariz, Wilayat of Salalah, is designed to incorporate environmentally friendly construction techniques. The mosque is expected to become a notable urban landmark, blending traditional architectural elements with modern innovation.
The signing ceremony was held in the presence of HH Sayyid Marwan bin Turki Al Said, Governor of Dhofar. The agreement was signed by Dr. Ahmed bin Mohsen Al Ghassani, Chairman of Dhofar Municipality and Eng. Yasser bin Said Al Barami, who is financing the project.
Construction will be carried out by Innotek Oman, a company specialized in 3D printing construction technologies, in partnership with Adi Architects.
Upon completion, Al Khair Mosque is expected to highlight Dhofar’s position as a sustainable destination that maintains its cultural identity while adopting future-oriented development approaches.
