Dubai Tram resumes service after Marina fire disruption

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced the full resumption of Dubai Tram services after a 24-hour partial suspension caused by a high-rise fire near the Marina district.

Operations between Dubai Marina Station (No. 5) and Palm Jumeirah Station (No. 9) were temporarily halted late Friday night as a safety precaution following a major blaze at the 67-storey Marina Pinnacle tower. The disruption aimed to ensure passenger safety and support post-fire emergency operations.

RTA provided alternative bus transport for commuters affected by the disruption, while tram services on the rest of the network remained operational.

Dubai Civil Defence confirmed that no injuries were reported. Firefighters evacuated all 3,820 residents from the building’s 764 apartments and battled the flames for over six hours.
