Gulf Madhyamam honoured at Sharjah Excellence Award ceremony

Gulf Madhyamam, the first international Indian daily newspaper in the region, was honoured at the 2024 Sharjah Excellence Awards. The event held at the Sharjah Expo Centre was organised by the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), under the patronage of Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah.

During the prestigious ceremony, Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, presented the recognition to S.K. Abdullah, Senior Manager of Sales and Business Solutions, who received the honour on behalf of Gulf Madhyamam.

Gulf Madhyamam was the only international media outlet to be recognised at the event. The newspaper has been an active media partner in various initiatives led by the Sharjah Chamber and plays a key role in events such as the 'Come On Kerala' expo, one of the largest Indian international exhibitions in the Middle East.

This year’s edition of the Sharjah Excellence Awards celebrated 17 outstanding businesses and entrepreneurs who achieved significant milestones. Awardees included regional and international organisations such as the Saudi Electricity Company, Agility Global and Qatar Islamic Bank, recognised for their contributions to economic development.

Sharjah Chamber Chairman Abdullah Sultan Al Owais and other dignitaries were present at the event, which honoured excellence in diverse sectors, including local businesses, Gulf organisations, and individuals making notable contributions to the regional economy.
