Sharjah: MoU signed between Kalba University, Victoria School
text_fieldsHis Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and President of the University of Kalba, presided over the signing of a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the University of Kalba and Victoria International School in Sharjah on Thursday morning.
The agreement was signed at the University of Kalba headquarters by Dr. Najwa Mohammed Al Housani, Director of the University and Dean Bayerah, CEO of the Victoria International School Group.
Aimed at enhancing collaboration in the fields of physical education and sports, the MoU seeks to develop healthier and more engaged communities. It will provide students from the University’s College of Sports Sciences with expanded opportunities for academic growth, skills development and practical training. The partnership also supports knowledge exchange and upskilling among staff from Victoria International School.
The agreement outlines a broad scope of cooperation, including implementing academic and training programmes, organising lectures and workshops and hosting joint events. A key focus will be on training and qualifying students to improve national talent employability and contribute to physical education and sports sciences research.
As per the MoU, the University of Kalba will offer academic expertise and consultancy in relevant fields, while Victoria International School will work to enhance the academic and practical capacities of its students. The institutions also plan to co-organise sports and community activities, collaborate on marketing efforts, and explore future project proposals.
The signing ceremony was attended by several high-level dignitaries including Sheikh Saud bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Engineer Ali Saeed bin Shaheen Al Suwaidi, Dr. Abdulaziz bin Butti Al Muhairi, Abdullah Ibrahim Al Zaabi, Mohammed Obaid Al Zaabi, Issa Hilal Al Hazami, along with members of the University’s Board of Trustees and senior officials.
