UAE: Authorities capture wild cat roaming Fujairah

Authorities in Fujairah have successfully captured a wild cat that was roaming freely, following the circulation of viral videos depicting its presence.

Specialized teams from the Fujairah Environment Authority swiftly intervened upon identifying the location of the animal.

The Fujairah Environment Agency had earlier initiated an investigation after residents reported sightings and photographs of the wild cat, locally referred to as Al Washq or caracal.

This medium-sized feline is known for its ability to leap up to 10 feet in the air to catch its prey.
