UAE: Indian nurse becomes crorepati overnight, wins Rs 70 cr in Big Ticket

Abu Dhabi: A Bahrain-based Indian nurse, Manu Mohanan, has become an overnight crorepati by winning a staggering Dirham 30 million (equivalent to Rs 70,05,91,200) in the Abu Dhabi Big Ticket raffle draw. Mohanan secured the grand prize with ticket number 535948 in draw number 270, which he purchased online on December 26. The winning ticket was a free entry, obtained through the promotion that grants participants one complimentary ticket for every two purchased.

Mohanan, who has been residing in Bahrain for the past seven years, has consistently participated in the Big Ticket raffle for over five years. This remarkable win will see the prize money shared among 16 individuals who collectively contributed to purchasing the ticket. During a live announcement, Mohanan was overwhelmed with shock and gratitude as the hosts declared him the winner of the Dirham 30 million jackpot.
