Abu Dhabi: UAE President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan granted absolution for 439 prisoners ahead of Ramzan and promised the settlement of their financial obligations to help those released start a fresh chapter in their life and do service to their family and society.

Ajman and Sharjah administrations gave Ramzan-pardon to 55 and 206 inmates, respectively, who belong to various nations. The administrations wished the releasees, who were considered for pardon for their proper behaviour within the jail, a pleasant life. Ajman City Police Commander in Chief Sheikh Sultan bin Abdulla Al Nuaimi said that this would be an extra cheer for the families of those pardoned on the occasion of Ramzan.
