New Delhi: Cristiano Ronaldo's son, Cristiano dos Santos, has received his first call-up to the Portugal U-15 squad. The 14-year-old, who plays for the junior team of Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia, follows in the footsteps of his legendary father, Cristiano Ronaldo, the highest goal scorer in football history. The proud father shared his joy on social media, writing, “Orgulho em ti filho! (Proud of you, son!)” on his Instagram story.

The Portugal U-15 team is preparing for the Vlatko Markovic International Tournament in Croatia, which will take place from May 13 to 18. The team will play four matches during the tournament, facing Japan on May 13, Greece on May 14, and England on May 16, with the final opponent to be decided for the May 18 match. In addition to the games, the squad will also hold four training sessions, two in Portugal and two in Croatia.

Cristiano Ronaldo's legacy in Portuguese football is unparalleled. He debuted in 2003 and became the country’s all-time top scorer with 136 goals and the most capped player with 219 appearances. Ronaldo has represented Portugal in youth leagues, major tournaments, and led the team to victories in the UEFA Euro 2016 and the inaugural UEFA Nations League. His achievements have cemented his place as one of the sport’s greatest players, and Portugal hopes his son can carry on his remarkable legacy.

The U-15 squad includes players from various top clubs, such as Al Nassr, FC Porto, SC Braga, and Tottenham Hotspur, as well as several players from other prominent Portuguese clubs.
