International Kabbadi star Sandeep Sing shot dead in Punjab

Chandigarh: International Kabbadi ace Sandeep Singh, well known for his clinching performance in USA, Canada and the UK, was shot dead in an interior Punjab village on Monday.

A graphic video of assailants pumping at least 20 bullets in his head and chest went viral on social.

Sandeep Singh, hailing from Nangal Ambiyan village in Shahkot was playing in a match in Jalandhar district at the time of attack.

The international star ruled the Kabbadi world for more than a decade playing in the stopper position.

He is survived by his wife and two sons, who are currently in England, where he was settled.
