Indian organisations gain access to Anthropic's Mythos AI model
text_fieldsIndian organisations have been granted access to Anthropic's cybersecurity-focused Mythos artificial intelligence model as part of an expansion of the company's Project Glasswing initiative.
The move marks a significant widening of the programme, which was previously limited to selected organisations in the United States and the United Kingdom.
According to sources familiar with the development, Indian entities are among 150 organisations across 15 countries that have been included in the latest phase.
Anthropic said the programme is aimed at organisations that operate critical infrastructure and essential services whose disruption could affect more than 100 million people.
The latest expansion broadens the range of sectors covered by Project Glasswing. In addition to existing participants, organisations involved in power, water, healthcare, communications, and hardware infrastructure have now been granted access to the programme.
Project Glasswing was launched to help critical infrastructure operators identify and address cybersecurity vulnerabilities before they can be exploited by malicious actors.
The expansion comes as the Mythos model faces increased attention from regulators due to its advanced ability to discover and analyse cyber vulnerabilities. Anthropic has not released Mythos Preview to the public, citing concerns that the technology could be misused.
The company has said access will remain restricted to trusted organisations responsible for protecting essential infrastructure and services.
Anthropic maintains that the controlled rollout is intended to strengthen cybersecurity resilience while limiting the risk of the technology being used for harmful purposes.
