‘I am NOT taking drugs’ but tried ‘Prescription Ketamine’ years ago: Musk
text_fieldsWashington: Elon Musk on Saturday said he had taken ‘prescription’ ketamine a few years ago as it helps ‘getting out of dark mental holes’, news agency AFP reported.
He was responding to a report by The New York Times on Friday that claimed Musk developed bladder problems after using powerful anesthetic, Ketamine so much.
It is reported that the billionaire took ecstasy and mushrooms and traveled with a pill box last year on the 2024 campaign trail.
However, it is not known if the world’s richest man used drugs while leading Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).
Taking to his social media platform X yesterday, Musk said ‘I am NOT taking drugs’, and accused the The New York Times of lying.
‘I tried 'prescription' ketamine a few years ago and said so on X, so this not even news. It helps for getting out of dark mental holes, but haven't taken it since then,’ he reportedly said.
When he appeared at the Oval Office on Friday to formally end his role at DOGE, Musk reportedly sported a ‘noticeable black eye’.
Musk claimed that he got injured after he told his young son to hit in the face while ‘horsing around’ with him.
However, the Tesla and SpaceX chief dodged question about his drug use.
The injury however gained wide attention after the newspaper reported his alleged drug use taken together with his ‘erratic behavior’ of giving a Nazi-style salute last year.
When asked if he was aware of Musk’s ‘drug use ‘, Trump on Friday said he was not aware of it, adding ‘I think Elon is a fantastic guy’.
