Washington, United States: The former US President Donald Trump reacted vehemently to French President Emmanuel Macron’s China visit coarsely saying that Macron was ‘Kissing’ Chinese President Xi Jinping’s ‘ass’.

The Republican Party's probable presidential nominee was making his first media appearance on Fox News after indictment when he took on Macron.

Trump’s criticism follows Emmanuel Macron’s statement last week that European countries should not chain themselves to US foreign policy, according to news agency AFP.

Trump, talking to Fox News anchor Tucker Carlson, lamented that the United States had lost say in the world after he left office.

‘You got this crazy world, it's blowing up and the United States has absolutely no say’ Trump was quoted as saying.

Terming Macron a friend, Trump said that the French president is in China, kissing his ( Xi) ass.

Visiting China last week, Macron stunned his European counterparts asking them not to be caught in the standoff between Beijing and Washington over Taiwan, according to the report.

Macron further advised Europe against getting caught up in Taiwan crises, which ‘prevents’ Europe ‘from building its strategic autonomy’.

Despite the statement disturbed Washington, the US authorities appeared not taking it seriously with spokesman John Kirby saying that the US has ‘comfortable and confident in the terrific bilateral relationship’ with France.
