US woman strips naked and defecates on her seat on Chicago-bound flight

New Delhi: A woman onboard a US flight removed her clothes and defecated on her seat on Saturday, causing huge inconvenience to fellow passengers.

The Southwest Airlines flight 418 from Philadelphia to Chicago faced the unexpected situation after a woman onboard stripped naked, India Today reported.

The passengers onboard the routine flight were in shock when the woman defecated on her seat, The New York Post reported.

As the flight landed, Police officials and a medical team immediately reached Chicago’s Midway Airport.

The flight remained out of service for many hours for cleaning after the woman defecated on the seat.

Southwest Airlines stated that nothing was more important for it than the safety of its customers and employees, while appreciating ‘the professionalism of our flight crew’.

The airline added that ‘Our teams are reaching out to those onboard to apologise for the situation and any delay to their travel planes.’

It is not immediately known what action the authorities have taken against the unruly passenger.

A similar incident was reported last month when a Southwest passenger stripped naked mid-flight.
