Screengrab from Reddit shared video.

Offbeat: A new video has surfaced on social media in which a man was seen lying on a hammock tethered to two short mountain peaks, a daring feat, NDTV reports.

Reddit shared the video in which the man films himself with a gadget attached to a selfie stick. The video features the height and steepness of the mountains around him and whether it looks chilly there.

The clip is 14 seconds long and was captioned "Hammock atop Pyrenees in Spain". The video shared a day ago has gathered 7,800 likes and has 97 per cent upvotes.

A user, among many who were stunned by the stunt, said that getting in and out of the hammock would be worse terrifying than being in it. Another one said, "I'm just picturing those cartoons where the hammock keeps spinning and spinning while the person is inside......then, plop!" NDTV quoted.

A third user admitted, "That's a nope from me," adding that he is not scared of heights but falling from heights.

There were more comments of awe, wonder and fear of falling.
