UAE President to begin official visit to Russia Thursday

President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan will begin an official visit to Russia on Thursday, August 7, where he is scheduled to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The visit aims to further deepen the strategic partnership between the UAE and Russia. According to official sources, the two leaders will discuss expanding cooperation in key sectors such as trade, investment, energy and broader economic development. Regional and international issues of mutual interest will also be on the agenda.

This visit follows a previous meeting between the two heads of state in October last year in Moscow, during which they jointly inaugurated the Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak Education Centre at the Primakov School.

Last month, Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, met President Putin in Minsk on the sidelines of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council meeting. Their discussions reaffirmed the strong and long-standing ties between the UAE and the Russian Federation.
