Amazon India has officially entered the country's booming diagnostics market with the launch of its new service, Amazon Diagnostics, which offers doorstep sample collection and digital lab reports.

Developed in collaboration with Orange Health Labs, the service is now available in six major cities: Bengaluru, Delhi, Gurugram, Noida, Mumbai, and Hyderabad.

Through this new healthcare venture, Amazon customers can book tests, manage appointments, and receive results digitally—all through the Amazon app.

The service supports over 800 diagnostic tests and operates across more than 450 pin codes. Sample pick-up can be scheduled within 60 minutes between 6 am and 10 pm, and reports for routine tests are promised within six hours.

Amazon Diagnostics is accessible via a dedicated section on the Orange Health Labs website. The initiative builds on Amazon's existing healthcare offerings in India, which include virtual doctor consultations through Amazon Clinic and prescription deliveries via Amazon Pharmacy.

The e-commerce giant claims to be delivering an end-to-end, seamless health experience that includes real-time appointment slots, map-based address verification, and access to reports via the Amazon Health dashboard. While Amazon says the platform adheres to “stringent data privacy and quality standards,” specific details have not been disclosed.

This launch marks Amazon's entry into India’s estimated $15 billion diagnostics sector—a space traditionally dominated by hospital chains and localised labs.
