Kuwait’s senior leadership has sent formal messages to U.S. President Donald Trump on the occasion of the United States' 249th Independence Day, emphasizing the close ties between the two countries.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah sent a cable on Friday, noting the long-standing and strategic relationship between Kuwait and the United States. He also expressed Kuwait’s interest in expanding cooperation in areas that serve both countries’ shared interests. His Highness conveyed his best wishes to the American government and people.

His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah also sent a message to President Trump, describing the U.S.-Kuwait relationship as strong and built on shared understanding. He wished the United States continued development and stability.

His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah issued a similar cable, offering his congratulations on the occasion.
