The Wilayat of Mahout recorded the highest temperature in Oman, reaching 50°C, according to the latest data from Oman Meteorology.

Mahout was the only location in the Sultanate to reach the 50°C mark, making it the hottest area in the country during the reporting period.

Several other locations recorded temperatures of 48°C, including Al-Zamim in Al Wusta Governorate, Nizwa and Qarn Al-Alam in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate, and Dama Wa Al-Taiyin and Badiyah in North Al Sharqiyah Governorate.

Oman Meteorology said the readings reflect continued high temperatures across several regions of the country as summer conditions intensify.
