The Saudi Press Agency said the Kingdom’s scientific team has completed the review and translation of the practical exam. The students are preparing to take their first test.
This year’s team includes Rand Al-Hassan Awadhah and Ali Ahmed Baouzir from Riyadh, Haider Yasser Al-Dubaissi from the Eastern Province and Ammar Mohammed Al-Turkistani from Jeddah.
They have received thousands of hours of training through the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity. The Ministry of Education also supported their preparation.
Saudi Arabia has taken part in the Chemistry Olympiad since 1968 and won 45 awards so far, including 15 silver medals, 28 bronze medals and two certificates of appreciation.
The Olympiad promotes innovation and problem-solving among young scientists. It also provides opportunities for cultural exchange and helps shape future leaders in science and technology.
