Tehran: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has been lying about Iran’s peaceful nuclear programme, Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodrigues said. He said Israel was clearly intending to militarily involve the US government in its offensive against Iran to destroy an ancient state that has historically backed the creation of an independent Palestinian state, Iran’s state news agency IRNA reported.

Rodriguez wrote on X, “Netanyahu and his supporters have been lying for more than 30 years about Iran supposedly having nuclear weapons.”

IRNA writes that Israel initiated an unprovoked war against Iran on the pretext of destroying Tehran’s civilian nuclear program on June 13 and killed more than 900 people, including Iran’s senior commanders, nuclear scientists, and civilians.
