Tamannaah joins Sidharth Malhotra in mythological folk thriller Vvan
text_fieldsTamannaah Bhatia is all set to star alongside Sidharth Malhotra in the upcoming folk thriller Vvan – Force of the Forest, a project rooted deeply in Indian mythology and folklore.
The first look teaser, unveiled on Wednesday by Balaji Motion Pictures, offered a brief yet atmospheric glimpse into Tamannaah’s role.
Though her face remains unseen, she’s shown running barefoot through the forest in a red saree, pausing to light a lamp before encountering a cautionary sign warning against entering the forest after sunset.
Described as a powerful narrative inspired by ancient mysticism and historical lore, the film is being directed by Arunabh Kumar and Deepak Kumar Mishra. It is a collaborative production between Balaji Telefilms and TVF Motion Pictures, with a theatrical release planned for Chhath 2025.
In a social media post, the production team welcomed Tamannaah to the cast, calling her “a force in her own right” and hinting at a commanding on-screen presence.
Reports from Pinkvilla had earlier revealed that Tamannaah would undergo special diction training for the role alongside co-star Sidharth Malhotra.
Set in central India, the film will be largely shot in real forest locations, with pre-production already underway to scout suitable terrains.
While Tamannaah was most recently seen in Odela 2, she is currently working on Ranger with Ajay Devgn. Meanwhile, Sidharth Malhotra is gearing up for the release of Param Sundari, in which he stars opposite Janhvi Kapoor. That film is scheduled to hit theatres on July 25, 2025.
