Yas Waterworld is set to unveil a major expansion on July 1, bringing a fresh wave of family-friendly fun to Yas Island, Miral announced on Wednesday.

The expansion covers 13,445 square metres and introduces a new ‘Lost City’ theme, building on the park’s original storyline, The Legend of the Lost Pearl. The newly developed zone adds 20 water rides, slides and immersive experiences, pushing the total number of attractions in the park to over 60.

Highlights of the new attractions include Al Mafras, a kid-friendly desert-themed water slide; Red Dunes, a twisting closed aqua tube and Al Falaj Race, the region’s first side-by-side dueling tube raft slide promising head-to-head thrills. Younger visitors can enjoy Al Sahel Junior, the Middle East’s first mini zero-gravity boomerango and Dawwama Junior, a compact version of the park’s signature tornado ride.

Other additions include Mataha Madness, Sadaf Swirl, Bahamut’s Rage and Bandit’s Playground, offering a mix of high-adrenaline and family-oriented experiences. The expansion also features a new dining experience tailored for all age groups.

With this launch, Yas Waterworld further strengthens its position as one of the region’s top waterparks, offering an extended lineup of aquatic adventures for residents and tourists alike.
