Kulgam: In another terrorist attack in Kulgam district in Kashmir a 36-year-old school teacher Rajni Bala, hailing from Samba here, was killed in Kulgam where she was teaching, police said.

She was rushed to hospital after being critically injured when terrorists opened fire on her. Doctors declared her dead on arrival, according to NDTV.

The police said the terrorist who killed her would be identified and neutralised.

Gopalpora area where her school stands has been cordoned off following the attack.

National Conference vice-president Omar Abdullah said Rajni lost her life in a 'despicable' targeted attack. Joining the grief her family, Omar Abdulla said another home got irreparably damaged by violence.

He said the words of condemnation and condolence as well as the government's assurance to normalising the situation ring hollow.

Weeks before terrorists shot dead the government employee Rahul Bhat inside his office in Budgam district.

Another attack a week ago killed 35-year-old social media star Amreen Bhat.

Rahul Bhat's family accused the Centre government of making young Kashmiri Hindus "cannon fodder".

The security forces reportedly killed 26 foreign terrorists during the first five months of the year.

They are all reportedly affiliated with the anti-India terrorist groups Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and Jaish-e-Mohammad.
